#42 - Answer To Everything

So...it's been so long since I last updated! Unfortunately after I recorded and updated in July, life really got messy and it's taken me a long time to get back at it. I have missed this so much and I am very glad to be here typing and making Youtube videos again.

I've made a few videos on Youtube since I last updated the website. Rather than spread them out into individual posts, I'm just going to embed my latest podcast below and include the show notes after. I did make a couple other recent videos so I'll just link them. Catching Up is where I talk about what's been going on and it's like a mini-podcast but not a podcast. 2018 Goals is where I talk about my goals for the year. That title was pretty obvious!

Onto the podcast, which I am no longer calling Show and Tells from this point forward. I will be updating the site here to reflect that this week. <3

I will be doing a video on hand knit socks so if you have questions, please let me know!

Life

- My husband and I went and saw Waitress. It was such a fun musical and I loved it!

- I'm still plugging away on the January Cure. So far, it has made a huge difference. There was a death in the family and I had to get things ready to host family in very short order. Because my house was mostly already tidy, I just had to do a few things versus feeling like I needed to clean my house top to bottom.

FOs

- The baby hat was a pattern made up by me on the fly after looking at a few google image searches. :) I used Vanna's Choice in Sage and Linen.

- Prairie Socks is a pattern by Kay Jones, that was a gift from Amy. The yarn was A Yarn Well Spun in the Gaffer's Garden colorway. When looking for the link to her shop, I found out she has changed her name to Rhapsody in Hue

- I spun up some beautiful fiber from Brenda and Heather Yarns in the Peacock colorway. It was a blend of superwash and non-superwash merino and Tussah silk! So gorgeous and easy to work with!

WIPs

- Hobbledehoy battlings in the Space Opera colorway. This has been a WIP for me for a very long time and one of my goals for 2018 is to finish it up. This is specifically part of the #2018makenine challenge.

- I've been working on a hotpad/potholder, but it went awry and I frogged it, but since I'm still working on it, it totally counts as a WIP! I'm using Lily Sugar n' Cream in Natural Stripes.

Aquisitions

- Bright pack of cotton loops and a set of just white loops for my 10 inch potholder loom. All of these are the Harrisville Designs brand. I'm including affiliate links to the ones I purchased on Amazon.

- My friend Amy has launched a new Etsy store called Rain Barrel Designs and you all should check it out! She sent me 4 bags (!!!) as well as some other goodies as a gift and oh, I love them all!
