It was a long time between Finished Objects videos. The last was in April and I think I forgot to post it here on the blog. You can watch it here, if you're interested. I did not get nearly as much done as I thought I was going to, but with my eye deciding to be difficult there wasn't much I could do about it.
Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of laziness in there, but the majority of the time I just wasn't able to focus on a hook or needles without it causing my eye to get worse. The good news is that I do think the eye situation is at least figured out and hopefully headed towards being completely back to normal. *fingers crossed*
So, for this finished object video, I did a baby blanket that I've filmed a tutorial for and now just have to edit all...of...that...footage. It turned out so cute though! That was the only thing that wasn't made with cotton yarn. I bought a bunch of cotton yarn a while back and am just trying to work my way through it. I did buy it mostly for gifts and a couple of household things as well, so I need to get on that!
One of the projects I show is something that I do have a tutorial already on Youtube for and I will be posting it here on the blog (hopefully today). So be on the lookout for that.
Alrighty, I better get to work on the post about the crochet market bag. I'm still working on the actual pattern for it so that might come up even later, but I'm going to try and get it all posted at once.

I finally got around to filming the finished objects I had piled around me! I wanted to film them before sending them off so I managed to find the time and the lighting to do so.
What have you finished lately?
I really enjoy doing these finished object videos. That's one of the types of videos that I personally like to watch as well.
One of the biggest benefits is that I will actually weave in the ends in a timely manner! Weaving in ends is one of my least favorite things to do. It's not so bad when it's just a couple, but if you're doing color work then that can mean some serious time with a tapestry needle. Since I do these videos, I find myself weaving in the ends right away. Then I can actually give them to the proper person on time, ha!

I have finished a lot of scarves in the last week or so. Well, four scarves actually which is a lot when you consider that I was out of town for a while last week and my husband bought me The Sims 3 - Into The Future about a week ago. I'm actually shocked that I've accomplished anything with those two factors coming together. :)
I made a video to sort of show off what I have finished and I'd like to make this a regular thing. I think it will motivate me to do more and I have a lot to do so anything that can help me stay on track is A-OK in my book. This video shows things that I recorded footage on (so tutorials coming up soon), but in the future, I think it will be a mixture of my own ideas and wonderful patterns I've come across. I've got my eye on you, Sorting Hat pattern I saw somewhere...
Anyway, that's all I've got for today. Has everyone been finishing things? Has anyone logged a lot of time playing the Sims lately?
